This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Thunderstorm chances continue this morning across portions of the
outlook area. A few of these storms could be strong to marginally
severe. Gusty winds and some hail will be the main concerns with
any storms.

Strong west-northwest winds will spread across the entire area
today, with gusts of 40 to 50 MPH expected, particularly for our
western counties of Dawson, Gosper, and Furnas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.


Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, there is a low
chance for a few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms in
parts of the area.

Spotters are encouraged to report any instances of severe weather
and possible thunderstorm-related damage.

NUCKOLLS...YORK...SOUTHEASTERN HAMILTON...FILLMORE...THAYER...
NORTHEASTERN MERRICK AND SOUTHWESTERN POLK COUNTIES THROUGH 730 AM
CDT...

At 644 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bradshaw to near Grafton to near Carleton
to near Byron. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Geneva, Deshler, Fairmont, Bruning, Bradshaw, Grafton, Carleton,
Lushton, and Strang around 650 AM CDT.
York, Hebron, and McCool Junction around 655 AM CDT.
Chester and Belvidere around 700 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Benedict.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 338 and 359.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for central and
east central Nebraska.
