This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will grow in coverage and strength across
the Sandhills and southwest Nebraska through tonight. Some storms may
become severe, capable of large hail, damaging winds, locally heavy
rain, and frequent lightning. A tornado also cannot be ruled out,
primarily south of Interstate 80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms continue through much of Friday, with the
severe weather threat reappearing for north central Nebraska during
the afternoon hours. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary
threats. The threat for serious flash flooding appears low at this
time, but lowland flooding will be possible as up to an inch and a
half of rain is forecast across western Nebraska.

Another storm, quick on the heels of the first one, will arrive late
in the day Saturday. Heavy rain will be likely through the overnight
and into Sunday. New rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch and
a half are again possible. Where these two rounds of precipitation
overlap the most will have the potential of seeing 2 to 3 inches of
total rain Thursday through Sunday.
