Kentucky...

Ohio River at Tell City affecting Perry and Hancock Counties.

.Heavy rain from the past several days has caused the river to rise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Tell City.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, Indiana highway 66 floods between Derby
and Magnet...Rome and Derby...and at Rocky Point.
At 40.0 feet, Indiana highway 66 closes above Cannelton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 39.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:00 PM CDT Thursday was 39.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 39.6
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
38.3 feet on 01/29/2019.
