This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Patchy frost is possible across far northern portions of southern
Illinois late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday


Areas of frost are possible across much of the region Sunday
night into Monday morning as temperatures fall into the mid to
upper 30s.

A few thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon or evening.
The main hazards would be brief heavy rain and lightning.
Additional thunderstorm chances may return Thursday night into
Friday.

Wabash River into next week.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2
feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage late Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

Illinois...

White River near Petersburg and Hazleton.

Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, except for Clinton.

.Minor flooding continues along a large majority of the Wabash River
from Lafayette downstream to Mount Carmel, along with the extreme
southern portions of the White River near and downstream of
Petersburg. Aside from a brief rise this morning at Lafayette, river
levels will be steady or slowing falling over the next several days,
thanks in part to a fairly dry forecast. Flooding will last as long
as another 4 to 5 days along portions of the lower Wabash, and
another 2-3 days along the lower White.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Water begins to flow over River Road just
north of Fifth Street in the Mount Carmel area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM EDT Saturday /9:00 AM CDT Saturday/ the stage was
22.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 AM EDT Saturday /9:00 AM CDT Saturday/ was
22.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.6
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage late Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Vincennes.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Considerable agricultural flooding extends
from just north of the junction of Illinois 33 with Business 50 to
the St. Francesville, Illinois area. River Road from Lincoln
Memorial Bridge to Billett Rd is impassable. Extensive seep water
forms behind Illinois levees extending from Russellville to U.S.
Highway 50. Flooding of agricultural land begins in Knox County
Indiana west of the railroad extending for the Oaktown area to the
north side of Vincennes. Extensive flooding of Small Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM EDT Saturday /8:45 AM CDT Saturday/ the stage was
16.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM EDT Saturday /8:45 AM CDT Saturday/ was
16.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.9
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
