This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible in west central Illinois toward
sunrise. These are not expected to be severe.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Scattered thunderstorms will move across the area Friday morning,
with additional storms again Friday night. While the overall severe
weather threat is not high during this period, a few storms may
contain some hail and gusty winds. Some locally heavy rain is also
expected Friday morning.
Better chances of severe weather are expected Saturday into Sunday.
The threat during the day on Saturday is more uncertain, but
increases Saturday night then again later toward Sunday evening.
Locally heavy rain will accompany the storms during this time frame.
South winds will gust from 30 to 40 mph on Saturday and Sunday, with
the highest gusts more likely on Sunday.
Lingering flooding on the Illinois River is expected to subside early
next week.
