This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.



Westerly winds are expected to develop with gusts from 20 to 40
mph, highest in the mountains and foothills. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms will develop over the mountains later
this afternoon with the snow level around 8000 feet.

A cold front is expected to move across the forecast area this
evening. Scattered snow showers will continue in the mountains,
with scattered rain showers possibly mixing with snow on the
plains late. Snow accumulations in the mountains will be less
than two inches, with little or no accumulation out on the
plains.



There will be periods of showers over the mountains and plains
through the first half of the weekend. The showers will be snow
in the mountains. On the plains, the showers will be mostly rain,
but some snow is possible especially Friday night. Any accumulations
will be light, though several inches of snow could accumulate
in the northern mountains.
