It's extremely mentally challenging. You're right in the middle of a giant three dimensional chess game with limitless variables. It's awesome! You just have to remember to keep things in perspective. Safety First, Fun Second, and Winning lastly. What do you enjoy least about competing?
Sometimes waiting on launch can be a drag. But usually you can find some friends to talk to (work on your Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Korean, Czech, Turkish, Italian....... or just play some hack. What hobbies do you enjoy?
Girl watching, Surfing, Futeball, Guitar..Do you care to share some cross country tips?
Safety First, Fun Second, Lastly Achieving a Goal! Do a maneuvers clinic, at least once a year! Fly a stable,
appropriate, glider. Pilots on one wings who are comfortable, will out safety, out fun, and out fly those who are unconfident on less stable wings! Stay high, fly slow!Do you have some advice to the novice pilots?
Safety, Fun, and Learning. Spend a little extra money and get the best instruction, you are worth it!!! Aviation can be very dangerous, not so forgiving to mistakes! Aviation can also be safe, if you have the training, knowledge, and skill, and put them into practice!
Is there anybody out there you would like to acknowledge?
My whole family because they love me unconditionally, and put up with me!! Clark Saunders for introducing me to Paragliding Todd Bibler, and Bill Belcourt for teaching me to thermal and go XC. Chris Santacroce and Jeff Ferrell for maneuver's instruction and great encouragement. Bo Criss and Dale Covington for being excellent safe pilots, and being great flying buddies. Dixon White and Ken Hudonjorgensen for being excellent instructors, and good role models. Josh Cohn for being a friend and role model for flying. And thanks to everyone else who put up with my constant questions.Copyright 2001-2003 Airsports Net
