This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the western two thirds of
Utah and southwest Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


The Duchesne River between Hanna and Myton is expected to remain
above flood stage. Little Cottonwood Creek may approach flood
stage.

Showers and thunderstorms can be expected across the area. Brief
gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall will be possible with some
of the storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday


Showers and thunderstorms can be expected through Tuesday, but
become increasingly confined to the mountains and eastern
valleys. Brief gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall will be
possible with some of the storms.

Waterways will continue to run high, cold, and swift. Exercise
caution near waterways, and keep a close eye on children and
pets. The Duchesne River between Hanna and Myton is expected to
remain above flood stage through at least the first half of the
week.

...FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG LITTLE COTTONWOOD CREEK IN SALT LAKE
COUNTY...

.Warm temperatures will keep the spring snowmelt runoff rates
into Little Cottonwood Creek elevated through Monday. Flood prone
areas along the creek in the Salt Lake valley could experience
flooding through this evening.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...


The Flood Watch continues for

* Little Cottonwood Creek in Salt Lake County.

* Through this evening.

* Seasonally warm temperatures will keep the spring snowmelt
runoff elevated. Near flood flow levels are expected through
this evening.

* Damage is possible in valley areas adjacent to the creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
