This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest
Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible once again
this afternoon across portions of the Four State Region. While an
isolated severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, some of these
storms will be capable of producing strong wind gusts, frequent
cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy downpours. Isolated
flash flooding cannot be ruled out. These thunderstorm chances
will die off quickly this evening into the overnight hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

Thunderstorms will be possible, mainly across the Ouachitas of
Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas Thursday Night into
early Friday, as well as Friday Night into early Saturday but
otherwise, a drying trend will encompass much of the region
through the upcoming weekend into next week. This will allow for
very hot temperatures as middle to upper 90s can be expected
for the weekend into next week. Heat advisories or excessive
heat warnings may become necessary for this oppressive heat.


Activation of emergency management personnel...amateur radio
operators...and storm spotters should not be needed through
tonight. Please relay any information about observed severe
weather to the NWS while following all local, state, and CDC

...The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

Neches River Near Neches affecting Cherokee, Houston and Anderson


Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Neches River Near Neches.
* From Thursday morning until further notice.
* At 6:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
Thursday morning and continue rising to a crest of 13.0 feet
Friday morning.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Expect minor lowland flooding of the
heavily wooded floodplain. Ranchers that may have livestock and
equipment in the river bottoms should move them to higher ground.
Expect minor flooding of the boat ramp.
