This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest
Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...


Very isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible today,
mainly across parts of southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana.
A few storms could produce locally gusty winds and brief heavy
rainfall. However, no organized threat of hazardous weather is
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday...


Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase on Wednesday
afternoon and especially Wednesday night mainly along and north of
the Interstate 20 corridor of East Texas and North Louisiana, as
a stronger upper level disturbance shifts east into the region.
Adequate instability and shear will be present Wednesday afternoon
through Wednesday night such that a threat of severe thunderstorms
will exist across these areas. Damaging winds, hail, and locally
heavy rainfall will be possible, with these storms expected to
linger across North Louisiana and Southwest Arkansas through
midday Thursday before diminishing by afternoon. Only isolated
showers and thunderstorms are expected across portions of the
region on Friday and Saturday before becoming more scattered by
Sunday into Monday.


.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Activation of emergency managers, spotter networks, and amateur
radio operators, should not be needed today or tonight.

The flood warning continues for
the Neches River Near Neches.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 9:30 AM Monday The stage was 12.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 12.8 feet by
after midnight tomorrow then begin falling.
* Impact...at 12.0 feet...Expect minor lowland flooding of the heavily
wooded floodplain. Ranchers that may have livestock and equipment
in the river bottoms should move them to higher ground. Expect
minor flooding of the boat ramp.

The flood warning continues for
the Neches River Near Alto.
* from this afternoon to Saturday afternoon...or until the warning is

cancelled.
* At 10:15 AM Monday The stage was 15.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and
continue to rise to near 16.7 feet BY early Wednesday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by early Friday morning.
* Impact...at 16.0 feet...Boat ramps and picnic areas near the river
will begin to flood. Ranchers should move cattle and equipment near
the river to higher ground.
