This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Showers and Scattered thunderstorms will be possible across much of
the region today ahead of a weak front that will become stationary
over Eastern Oklahoma into North Texas. Some strong thunderstorms
producing gusty winds and small hail may be possible mainly across
southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas late this afternoon.
Storms are forecast to diminish during the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.


Another round of thunderstorms will be possible Thursday afternoon
into Friday along and north of the Interstate 30 corridor of
northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas ahead of a cold front,
shifting south across the remainder of the region Friday night and
Saturday with the front. Some storms may be severe Thursday
afternoon across portions of southeast Oklahoma, southwest Arkansas,
and northeast Texas.

Sabine River At Longview affecting Gregg and Rusk Counties.

For the Sabine River...including Longview, Beckville, Logansport...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

ramps flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 26.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 27.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 21.5 feet
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
26.2 feet on 11/16/1973.

the reach of the Sabine River from the Tatum through Beckville and
DeBerry areas with flooded boat ramps, gas and petroleum wells,
and even some low area cabins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 27.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 21.6 feet
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
27.5 feet on 01/01/1999.

and picnic areas near the river suffering some flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 27.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday was 28.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.5
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
27.3 feet on 03/16/1933.
