This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Rain showers and thunderstorms through today with a low chance of
becoming strong to severe. The main threat will be from large hail
IF a storm becomes severe.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


Severe storms may occur on Thursday, mainly along and east of the
Amarillo to Guymon line. Very large hail, damaging winds, and
tornados may occur if storms can form.

Across the western Panhandles, elevated to critical fire weather
conditions are possible Thursday due to gusty winds and low relative
humidity values.

Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue to be
possible Friday through this upcoming weekend.

Additional thunderstorms may be possible on Saturday in the far
eastern combined Panhandles. Some of these storms could become
strong to severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed on Thursday.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON

THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY FOR THE FAR SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...

* Affected Area...In Texas...Deaf Smith and Randall.

* 20 Foot Winds...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 10 percent.

* Red Flag Threat Index...potentially 6 to 8 depending on ERC
percentiles.

* Timing...Noon on Thursday to 9 PM CDT on Thursday.
