...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma and northeast Texas.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Temperatures will be near to below freezing through mid morning
across Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas, and
portions of Northwest and Northcentral Louisiana. However,
temperatures will quickly climb above freezing by 9 am. No additional
hazardous weather is expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Warmer temperatures and dry conditions are expected Wednesday,
although low level moisture will increase during the afternoon and
overnight hours ahead of an approaching upper level disturbance from
the west. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will increase
late Wednesday night over Southeast Oklahoma and East Texas, which
will spread east and become more numerous across the remainder of the
region Thursday. No hazardous weather is expected, with the showers
and embedded storms diminishing from west to east late Thursday night
with the departing disturbance. Warmer and drier conditions will
return to the area for the upcoming weekend, before the threat for
showers and thunderstorms increase areawide Monday.
