Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A band of snow, sometimes moderate to heavy at times and mixing
with some light freezing rain, will push into eastern North Dakota
and western Minnesota this morning. Quick accumulations of 1 to 4

hazardous morning commute in spots. Snow will continue into the
later morning and afternoon, but impacts will be limited by warm
ground temperatures.

After sunset, some additional light freezing drizzle could linger
behind the snow and bring slick travel conditions into Friday
night.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

...WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND LIGHT FREEZING RAIN WILL IMPACT TRAVEL
CONDITIONS TODAY INTO TONIGHT...

Through mid-morning, locations within the Devils Lake basin,
southern Red River Valley, and Sheyenne River Valley can expect a
brief period of moderate to heavy snow, along with light freezing
rain. Greatly reduced visibility under heavy snow, quick snow
accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, and potentially slick roads will
make for hazardous travel conditions during the morning commute.

Late morning through the afternoon, brief moderate to heavy snow
and light freezing rain will still be present across the area.
However, snow and ice accumulations may be limited by warm ground
temperatures, limiting impacts to travel conditions outside of
areas of heavier snow.

After sunset this evening, snow is forecast in northwest Minnesota,
with light freezing rain possibly lingering across the area
tonight. Should light freezing rain linger into tonight, slick
travel conditions may develop.
