This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of East Arkansas...
the Missouri Bootheel...North Mississippi...and West Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Locally heavy rainfall from showers and thunderstorms will continue
to bring a risk of flooding through late tonight. There is a
Slight to Moderate Risk of Excessive Rainfall for portions of the
Midsouth through tonight.

There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for the entire
Midsouth through tonight. The primary severe risks will be
damaging winds. A few short-lived tornadoes will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.


Spotter activation may be necessary through late this evening.

this morning. Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will increase
and rainfall will intensify near southward-moving cold front this
afternoon and evening, increasing the threat of flooding. .

Ripley MS, Holly Springs, Oxford, Germantown, Batesville, Wynne,
Iuka, Booneville, Lexington, Corinth, Parsons, Bartlett,
Collierville, Ashland, Olive Branch, Brownsville, New Albany,
Marianna, Tunica, Savannah, Memphis, Huntingdon, Millington, Helena,

* Portions of East Arkansas...North Mississippi and West Tennessee,
including the following areas, in East Arkansas, Crittenden,
Cross, Lee AR, Phillips and St. Francis. In North Mississippi,
Alcorn, Benton MS, Coahoma, DeSoto, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola,
Prentiss, Quitman, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica and Union. In
West Tennessee, Benton TN, Carroll, Chester, Decatur, Fayette,
Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McNairy, Shelby and

* Through late tonight

* Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall onto saturated soils may
cause flooding.

* Low-lying areas may flood, creeks and streams may overflow their
