Flood Watch.

High astronomical tides will combine with a period of prolonged
onshore winds to produce a threat for minor coastal flooding this
weekend. The high tides on Saturday and Sunday will be the most
likely to be affected.

The combination of heavy rainfall and warm temperatures causing
rapid snowmelt will bring many rivers to bankfull this weekend.
The potential exists for some rivers to reach minor or even
moderate flood levels.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Maine and New Hampshire, including the following
areas, in Maine, Androscoggin, Central Somerset, Coastal
Cumberland, Coastal Waldo, Interior Cumberland, Interior
Waldo, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Northern Franklin, Northern
Oxford, Sagadahoc, Southern Franklin, Southern Oxford, and
Southern Somerset. In New Hampshire, Belknap, Cheshire,
Merrimack, Northern Carroll, Northern Coos, Northern Grafton,
Southern Carroll, Southern Coos, Southern Grafton, and
Sullivan.

* From Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.

* Heavy rainfall and rapid snowmelt may lead to minor or moderate
river flooding this weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
