This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Weather hazards expected...

Limited hail risk.
Elevated thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Limited flooding risk.
Significant lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop across portions
of southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks. A few storms may
become severe with wind gusts to 60 mph. Other hazards with the
storms tonight include frequent cloud to ground lightning, small
hail and heavy rainfall. Localized flash flooding will be possible
where thunderstorms train over the same locations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.


Thunderstorms will linger across the area into Monday morning. No
severe storms are expected with cloud to ground lightning being
the main potential hazard.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed for areas of southeast Kansas
and the Missouri Ozarks.

overnight.

Pockets of localized intense rainfall may produce flash flooding
in some areas.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT MONDAY...


The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Kansas and
Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas,
Cherokee and Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Christian,
Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Laclede,
Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk,
Pulaski, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright.

* Until 7 AM CDT Monday

* Pockets of intense rainfall may produce flash flooding in areas
of extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks overnight.
If slow moving or training thunderstorms occur, then up to four
inches of rain will be possible. Most locations will experience
less than an inch, as the intense heavy rain will occur in
localized areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
