This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Strong to severe storms are possible mainly for locations along and
east of I-135 this morning into early afternoon. Main concerns will
be hail up to quarter-sized, and isolated damaging wind gusts.

A second round of strong to severe storms is possible tonight and
will last through Friday morning. Main concerns will be up to
quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds. A tornado cannot be ruled out
west of US-281 early tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday


A conditional risk of isolated severe storms exists Friday
afternoon along and east of the Flint Hills.

Very high grassland fire danger is expected on Friday across
central and portions of south-central Kansas.

Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible on
Saturday. There is also the potential for localized flooding where
training thunderstorms occur.

Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on
Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday evening.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RENO...NORTHERN
SEDGWICK AND SOUTH CENTRAL HARVEY COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 AM CDT...

At 1042 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Garden Plain, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wichita, Newton, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Goddard, Maize,
Cheney, Halstead, Sedgwick, Colwich, Garden Plain, Mount Hope, Kechi,
Andale, Bentley, West Wichita, Cheney Lake, and Cheney State Park.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 10 and 30.
