...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* WHERE...Chase, Marion, Butler, Cowley, and Greenwood Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


A few thunderstorms are possible this morning into the early
afternoon, especially across the Flint Hills. The strongest storms
will be capable of dime size hail and winds up to 50 mph.

Northerly winds will gust near 45 mph today across central and
south central Kansas. Refer to the latest wind advisory for
additional detail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday


Thunderstorm chances may return to the region by early next week,
although it remains too early to speculate on severe weather
chances.
