This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Outlook: Rainy and windy conditions will continue.

Hazards: Localized flooding from heavy rain, mainly east of
Interstates 69 and 65. Wind gusts to 35 mph possible.

Timing: Localized flooding and heavy rain overnight. Gusty winds all
night.

Discussion: A low pressure system will lift northeast from the
southern states to eastern Kentucky overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


Outlook: Wind gusts around 35 mph are possible on Saturday.
Thunderstorms are possible over parts of the area Tuesday afternoon
and evening and again Wednesday afternoon and evening. Severe storms
are not expected at this time.

Discussion: A low pressure system will move from eastern Kentucky to
the Appalachians Saturday night. High pressure will move in in the
wake of the low pressure system and bring dry and much warmer weather
for Sunday and Monday. Then, another low pressure system will bring
more unsettled weather to the area midweek.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways

in Indiana...

Big Walnut Creek...Driftwood River...East Fork White River...
Mississinewa River...Wabash River...White River...Wildcat Creek...


.Lowland flooding has developed and will continue to develop across
many area rivers and streams including portions of the Wabash,
White, and East Fork White Rivers to end the week into the weekend.
Approximately 2 inches of rain have fallen across portions of
central Indiana since Thursday morning, with locally higher amounts.
Additional rain will be falling through Saturday.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

The White River at Anderson.
* from Saturday evening to Sunday evening.
* At 1:30 PM Friday the stage was 7.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue
to rise to near 10.2 feet by late Saturday night. It will fall
below flood stage by Sunday morning.
* At 10.0 feet...Flooding of Edgewater Park just across from gage site
begins. Some low farmland begins to flood. At least one low city
street begins to flood.

* At 1:45 PM Friday the stage was 8.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Sunday morning and continue to
rise to near 14.1 feet by Sunday morning. It will fall below flood
stage by Sunday morning.
* At 14.0 feet...Agricultural flooding is readily visible north and
south of Noblesville.
