...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and

locations in Indiana...Illinois...

White River from Edwardsport southward to Hazleton.

Wabash River from Lafayette southward to Mount Carmel.

.Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work
at emptying last week`s copious rainfall. Flooding continues on the
Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, and on the White River
south of Newberry. Flooding ended at Elliston and Newberry on the
White River earlier today. Flooding will last as long as mid week
next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water may approach a couple low county
roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday was 13.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5
feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Sunday evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Weather hazards expected...

Elevated hail risk.
Elevated thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected this evening and
into tonight. Severe storms are possible with damaging winds as
the primary hazard. A lower risk for large hail, localized
flooding, and tornadoes also exists. Lightning is a hazard with
any thunderstorm.

Storm motion will be to the northeast 30-40 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Tuesday.


No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is requested this evening into the early
overnight.
