This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Elevated Fire weather Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk


Northerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts at times over 40 mph
will result in minor lakeshore flooding as well as an increased fire
danger through this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk in the morning.

* LAKE SHORE FLOODING...Strong northerly winds with gusts of 45
mph are expected to persist through early evening. These strong
winds will produce waves of 8 to 11 feet. The large waves and
strong winds will drive up lake levels, which are already well
above average.

* TIMING...through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding is possible in flood prone areas along
the lakeshore, including along the Chicago lakefront bike path
in the typical flood prone areas.


A Lakeshore Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the lakeshore. Avoid flood
prone areas along the lakeshore and stay off of structures such
as piers, jetties and breakwalls.

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well
as forecast precipitation 24-48 hours into the future.


Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Kankakee River at Shelby, or from Near I-65 and De Motte
downstream to IL/IN state line.
* until Wednesday afternoon.
* At 845 AM Friday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will remain steady near 9.5 feet through this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...County Road 1200W/Range Line Road is
threatened north of the river. Wildwood Estates and Sumava Resorts
begin to experience some flooding.
