This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


There is a chance for thunderstorms, especially across portions of
central and northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois.
Scattered severe storms are possible, mainly in northeast Missouri
and west-central Illinois. The primary severe weather threats are
large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Major river flooding is ongoing along parts of the Missouri,
Mississippi, and Illinois Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.


Major river flooding is expected to continue along the Mississippi,
Missouri, and Illinois Rivers.

The chance for thunderstorms will continue across portions of the
area each day. A few strong to severe storms are possible on
Sunday afternoon and early evening, with a more organized severe
weather threat for late Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed tonight, especially for portions
of northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois.

* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 22.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to crest near 23.7 feet by Tuesday early
afternoon.
* Impact: At 23.5 feet...Sny Levee District starts mobilizing to
close levee.
* Impact: At 23.4 feet...The east approach to the Highway 54 bridge
in Illinois begins to flood.
* Impact: At 23.0 feet...Numerous houses and businesses in southeast
Louisiana begin to flood.

* The river is forecast to crest near 25.2 feet by Tuesday morning.
* Impact: At 25.1 feet...State Highway 79 closes from south of
Hannibal to Missouri Route N.
* Impact: At 24.5 feet...Sawyer`s Family Fun Park south of Hannibal
typically closes near this level as parking access to the park is
cut off.
