...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE

SUNDAY NIGHT...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...


Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely today and tonight.
Heavy rainfall is possible, especially late tonight, potentially
leading to isolated flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...


Additional showers and thunderstorms will continue through Sunday.
Heavy rainfall potential will continue, and there is a marginal
risk for severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon. Storm total
rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected.

Additional thunderstorms are possible next week beginning
Tuesday night.

Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH

LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* All counties along and west of the Illinois River.

* From this evening through Sunday night.

* Widespread rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will occur
across the Illinois River Valley this weekend...with the
heaviest rain falling tonight through Sunday. Storm total rain
amounts of 3 to 4 inches are anticipated.

* Excessive rainfall rates could lead to flash flooding of many
low-lying and flood-prone areas. In addition, smaller creeks
and streams could potentially spill out of their banks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
