This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast


A few thunderstorms are possible this morning, mainly south of
Interstate 80. The primary threats with any activity this
morning will be small hail and lightning.

Thunderstorms with more widespread coverage are expected to
redevelop this evening and persist overnight. A few of the
storms could be severe with large hail, damaging winds, and
tornadoes all threats. In addition, localized flash flooding
from heavy rain will be possible.


On Sunday afternoon and evening, there is a marginal risk for
severe storms along and to the southeast of a line from Freeport,
Illinois to Williamsburg, Iowa. The main threats are strong winds
and lightning. The coverage of storms should be low.

Peak heat indices on Monday and Tuesday may reach the upper 90s to
around 100 degrees in the counties south of Interstate 80.

There are chances for thunderstorms Tuesday and Tuesday night. It
is too early to determine the risk for severe weather.


Spotter and amateur radio network activation may be needed tonight.
