This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT


Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop over portions of the
outlook area tonight. A few storms may be severe, mainly
this evening, with large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes and
flash flooding possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY


The active weather pattern is forecast to continue through
the middle of next week. Rain chances will exist each day, which
will add to river flooding issues. If conditions set up right,
flash flooding will also be a threat at times.

Likewise, severe weather is possible Saturday evening and again
Monday and Tuesday, but it is too early to provide details as to
specific timing and hazards.

...Heavy Rain May Lead to Flash Flooding...

.Several rounds of thunderstorms with the potential for heavy
rainfall will impact the area through tonight. This may lead to
flash flooding as the ground is saturated over much of the area
from the on-going wet weather pattern. Rainfall this past morning
has further increased this threat, especially north of Highway 30
in Iowa, and also in west central Illinois.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...


The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast Missouri, including
the following areas, in Illinois, Bureau, Carroll, Hancock,
Henderson, Henry IL, Jo Daviess, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam,
Rock Island, Stephenson, Warren, and Whiteside. In Iowa,
Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Des Moines,
Dubuque, Henry IA, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones,
Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, and
Washington. In northeast Missouri, Clark and Scotland.

* Through Saturday morning

* Heavy rainfall and saturated soils may lead to flash flooding

* Flash flooding is possible especially in urban areas, and
along small creeks and streams. In addition, the heavy rain
may also lead to further rises on rivers that are already
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible.
Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Mississippi River at Fulton LD13.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:00 AM Friday the stage was 15.8 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, Rise above flood stage Saturday morning and continue
rising to 19.1 feet next Thursday. Changes can be expected in the
crest forecast if rainfall forecasts in the coming days change and as
additional forecast rain is added to the river forecast.
* Impact, At 19.0 feet, At Sabula, which is 18 feet on the local
gage, water affects South Avenue at the levee and the lowest
section of Lake Street.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, Rise above flood stage Sunday and continue rising to 18.7
feet next Thursday. Changes can be expected in the crest forecast if
rainfall forecasts in the coming days change and as additional
forecast rain is added to the river forecast.
* Impact, At 18.5 feet, Water affects access to trailer park at Mill
Creek in Bellevue. Water affects lowest homes in Sabula.
