This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Fog Risk.


Areas of fog, some dense, will improve through mid to late morning today.
The most favored areas for dense fog have been across far northeast Illinois
and along the immediate lakeshore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Friday through Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.


Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

Pecatonica River near Shirland affecting Winnebago County

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well
as forecast precipitation 24-48 hours into the future.


Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Pecatonica River near Shirland, or from Winnebago County line
downstream to confluence with the Rock River.
* until Monday September 23.
* At 800 PM Monday the stage was 13.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.4 feet by
Tuesday evening and hold nearly steady through Wednesday. The
river will fall below flood stage by early next week.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Structures threatened at Rivers Edge
Campground east of Shirland.
