This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT


Temperatures: Maximum heat index readings of 104-109 are likely
through late this afternoon over South Florida. Caution is advised to
those taking part in outdoor activities as heat-related impacts
could become a concern.

Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms are anticipated late this
afternoon into the early evening hours, with a focus across inland
portions of South Florida. Frequent cloud to ground lightning,
strong gusty winds, and locally heavy rain are the concerns with any
thunderstorms that develop.

Wind: The strongest storms may be capable of producing isolated
wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph, especially across inland portions of
South Florida.

Waterspouts: Isolated waterspouts are possible with any showers or
thunderstorms through the evening hours over Lake Okeechobee.

No other hazardous weather is expected at this time.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY


Scattered thunderstorms are forecast each afternoon, with a focus
interior and western portions of South Florida. Locally strong wind
gusts, cloud to ground lightning, and localized flooding over urban
and poorly drained areas from heavy rainfall are possible.

No other hazardous weather is expected at this time.
