This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Although heavy rain has tapered off across the state, flooding has
been slow to recede. With any additional rainfall later today, low
lying areas and poor drainage spots will need to be monitored for
additional flooding. Also, many area rivers are experiencing
minor to moderate flooding, which will linger into next week.

A few thunderstorms may be possible heading into the afternoon,
mainly expected to affect the Southeast portion of the state.
The main threat will be damaging winds.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, EASTERN ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL
ARKANSAS, NORTHEAST ARKANSAS, SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, and
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL
ARKANSAS, Conway, Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry,
Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, and White. In EASTERN ARKANSAS,
Jackson, Monroe, and Woodruff. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS,
Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Sharp, Stone, and Van
Buren. In NORTHEAST ARKANSAS, Lawrence and Randolph. In
SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, Arkansas, Bradley, Cleveland, Desha, Drew,
Jefferson, and Lincoln. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, Calhoun, Clark,
Dallas, Hot Spring, and Ouachita.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening

* Additional showers and thunderstorms will affect the area
through this evening. The rain will be heavy at times, with
additional amounts of one to two inches expected.

* With already saturated ground, it will not take much rain to
cause flash flooding issues.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
