DISCUSSION...
There is a low probability for a strong to severe storm or two
across far southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this
afternoon. Any showers or storms should exit the region to the
east by late afternoon as a Pacific front continues to push across
eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Behind the front, strong
southwest winds will persist into early evening with gusts up to
40 mph, especially in northeast Oklahoma. Strong winds, warm
temperatures, and low relative humidity values will promote fire
weather concerns across Osage and Pawnee counties this afternoon
where the spring green-up has been less significant so far.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm chances will return to parts of northeast Oklahoma
and far northwest Arkansas Wednesday night, with storm chances
increasing Thursday into Thursday evening area wide as a strong
cold front moves across the area. A few of these storms may become
severe, with large hail and damaging winds being the main
threats. The front will stall just south of the Red River Friday
and Saturday, with showers and a few thunderstorms remaining
possible to the north of the boundary.
