AREA...South of I-44.
ONSET...After 6 PM.

DISCUSSION...

There is a low (20-30%) chance for thunderstorms in association
with a cold front this evening and overnight to the south of I-44
as the boundary moves south. Severe weather is not expected.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
An active weather pattern is expected from the middle of the work
week into the weekend. Several rounds of strong to severe storms
are expected, including locally heavy rainfall. The highest
chances for severe weather are forecast for Friday and Saturday.
Depending on how things evolve in the coming days, there is
potential for high-impact severe weather, including tornadoes.
Thunderstorm chances will persist into Sunday with a continued
threat for severe weather, mainly across southeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
Continue to closely monitor the latest forecast concerning the
severe weather potential this week, especially Friday and
Saturday. Specific severe weather threats and timing will
continue to be refined over the next several days.
