This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north Alabama and portions of
southern middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible this morning for locations
west of Interstate 65, with a few storms possible across the entire
region this afternoon and evening. Brief wind gusts up to 35 MPH,
occasional cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours will
accompany this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday...

Thunderstorm coverage will increase considerably beginning Friday
afternoon and remain high through Saturday, as clusters of storms
drop southward into the region from the Ohio Valley. Although the
spatial extent of the threat is still unclear, conditions appear
quite favorable for severe thunderstorms, some of which could produce
significant damaging winds and very large hail.

A return to a weather pattern featuring scattered afternoon and
early evening thunderstorms is anticipated from Sunday through

possible from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
